Our Northwoods Summer Camps are a fun and exciting camp that is designed for to develop the skills for success while in a safe and fun environment. These clinics  include skating, puck possession, hockey IQ drill, situation awareness, and constraint games! Our on ice sessions will blend skills together that challenge them and constantly keep our young skater engaged.

A portion of our clinic will focus on skating.  Players will be introduced to proper stance, balance, and stride techniques while also working on their inside and outside edges. 

Our summer camps spend time focusing on puck possession which includes, stickhandling, deception, hand placement, and body positioning.  

 The biggest area for our summer camps is our constraint game program which finds way to handicap and challenge skaters in fun competitive small area games. We believe in skaters learning skills through competition 

The Mite Camp consists of individual skill work, balance, physical literacy, stance,  power skating and small area games designed for skating, hands, compete, scoring, body positioning and hockey sense.

Our goal for your mite is to grow their love of the game. We work hard but also make sure we have that healthy balance develop your skaters abilities.

Age

2018-2016 Birth years. If you have a 2019 and would like to join the camp please contact Matty Taylor before signing up. 

The Northwoods Staff would like to run to two groups. A morning and and afternoon group.

Times

Group 1: (9:00 am to 12:00 pm) Max 30 Skaters

Group 2: (12:30 pm to 3:30 pm) Max 30 Skaters

The Squirt camp consists of individual skill work, balance, body contact, stance & form,  power skating and small area games designed for skating, hands, compete, scoring, body positioning and hockey sense.

Our goal for your squirt is to grow their love of the game. We work hard but also make sure we have that healthy balance to develop your skaters abilities.

Age: 2016-2014

The Squirt & Pee Wee camp consists of individual skill work and competitive team play. We will focus on body contact, puck possession, offensive and defensive net front, quickness style specific turn, linear crossovers and small area movement. 

Age: 2014-2013

The Squirt & Pee Wee camp consists of individual skill work and competitive team play. We will focus on body contact, body checking, puck possession, offensive and defensive net front, constant decision making, recognizing patterns, explosive quickness, style specific turn, linear crossovers, and resistance training and constraint games. 

Age: 2012-2010

The Bantam camp consists of individual skill work, flow & fluidity drills, constraint driven team play. We will focus on body contact, body checking, puck possession, offensive and defensive net front, constant decision making, non-static training, recognizing patterns, explosive quickness, competitive choices, linear crossovers, problem solving, ice presence, resistance training and constraint games. 

Age: 2010 and up
